JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has received information that several parties claim to be able to arrange and manage the handling of the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC).

“Investigators have received information about parties claiming to be able to arrange or manage the process of handling this case. This information is circulating, among others, in the Central Java region,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

Budi emphasised that the claims by these parties are untrue and part of a fraud modus operandi that exploits the ongoing legal situation and processes.

He also reminded that all law enforcement processes must be carried out professionally, transparently, and free from intervention by any party.

Budi urged reporting to the KPK if similar fraud modus operandi are encountered through official complaint channels.

“Active public participation is an important element in supporting corruption eradication efforts, including in preventing fraudulent practices that harm the law enforcement process,” he said.

The KPK initially named six suspects in this case, namely the Director of Enforcement and Investigation of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (P2 DJBC) for the 2024-2026 period, Rizal; the Head of the Subdirectorate of Intelligence P2 DJBC Sisprian Subiaksono, and the Head of the Customs Intelligence Section DJBC Orlando Hamonangan on Thursday (5/2/2026).

Most recently, the KPK named the Head of the Excise Intelligence Section of Enforcement and Investigation (P2) DJBC, Budiman Bayu Prasojo, as a suspect on Friday (27/2/2026).

KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu said that John Field wanted the counterfeit or fake goods imported by his company, PT Blueray, to not be inspected upon entering Indonesia.

“PT BR wants the goods under its auspices entering from abroad to not undergo checks. So they can easily and smoothly pass customs inspections,” said Asep in a press conference on Thursday (5/2/2026) evening.

Asep said that the criminal conspiracy between PT Blueray and several parties at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise began in October 2025.

Meanwhile, from PT Blueray at that time, there was John Field as the owner of PT Blueray, Andri from the PT Blueray import documentation team, and Dedy Kurniawan as the Operational Manager of PT Blueray.
