Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has launched a service for the public to create police reports and lost item reports online through the Digital Innovation Service for Police Reports (LP) and Lost Reports on the Polri Super App. Deputy Chief of Police Commissioner General Pol. Dedi Prasetyo stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that the launch strengthens service features in the Super App Polri, which can be downloaded from the App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android). “Strengthening features in the Super App Polri is a strategic step to deliver increasingly transparent, accountable, and easily accessible police services to the public,” he said. He explained that with the introduction of online police report and lost item report features, the public no longer needs to visit police offices for the initial reporting stage. Through their devices, the public can access the service anytime and anywhere in a practical and efficient manner. The implementation of the online police report and lost item report service is being carried out in stages, with the initial phase already in effect in Polda Metro Jaya, Polda West Java, and Polda Banten. In the future, the service will continue to be developed and expanded across all regions of Indonesia. In addition, to support more responsive services, Polri has introduced the Police Report Consultation Engine, an integrated system that allows the public to consult online in real time. In this feature, the public can interact directly with officers to obtain guidance and initial handling quickly and accurately through video conference and live chat features. He assured that all processes in this system are designed to be open and accountable. “Every stage is digitally documented, equipped with monitoring features, communication history, and performance evaluation to ensure professional, measurable, and transparent services,” he said. Furthermore, the three-star police general emphasised that digitalisation of services not only focuses on technology utilisation but also serves as part of enhancing Polri’s performance management system and a more modern and integrated work culture. According to him, public services must be carried out with effective, efficient procedures based on information technology and supported by modern facilities and infrastructure. In addition, the role of Samapta will continue to be strengthened to ensure that every public report is responded to quickly and accurately in the field.
