Hyundai Owners Can Borrow Ioniq 5 While Their Car Is in the Workshop
Hyundai has launched the Premium Courtesy Car Program in Indonesia, offering customers the opportunity to borrow a car from the dealer while their vehicle is being repaired at an official Hyundai workshop.
Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, stated that this after-sales service provides flexibility in customer mobility for daily activities. “By providing models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, we are not only offering practical convenience but also opening opportunities for more customers to experience driving a Hyundai electric vehicle,” he said at the programme launch event at Hyundai’s office in Jakarta on 16 April 2026.
Hyundai has prepared 250 units of the Ioniq 5 vehicle from a number of dealer networks across Indonesia. However, it is currently prioritised for the Java region. Customers who own Hyundai vehicles powered by electricity, petrol, or diesel can borrow an Ioniq 5 unit while it is available.
The borrowing requirements are that the owned Hyundai vehicle needs repairs for more than 1x24 hours at an official workshop, as well as body repairs with an estimated time of more than 14x24 hours. The maximum borrowing duration is 17 days and can be extended according to needs and dealer approval. However, besides the Ioniq 5, dealers will also offer Creta, Stargazer, or other models depending on availability.
“No fees are charged to our customers,” Fransiscus added.
This programme is part of the myHyundai Care ecosystem as an after-sales service. The South Korean company also directly provides opportunities for customers to consider purchasing Ioniq 5 or other products during the borrowing period.
