PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) held the National Digital Sovereignty Forum themed ‘Digital Ecosystem Collaboration for Sovereign National Innovation’ at the Telkom Landmark Tower, Jakarta, on Wednesday. The forum brought together regulators, strategic state-owned enterprises, enterprise customers, and global technology partners to strengthen collaboration in building a secure, resilient, and sovereign foundation for cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity. The National Digital Sovereignty Forum is a continuation of the ‘Awakening of Indonesian Technology Sovereignty’ declaration held on 20 May 2026. While that declaration affirmed a shared vision regarding the importance of national technology sovereignty, this forum marks a concrete step to translate that vision into a more measurable implementation blueprint and roadmap through three main pillars: Sovereign Cloud, Sovereign AI, and Sovereign Cybersecurity. The presence of the Ministry of Communication and Digital at the forum underscored the importance of synergy between regulators and industry players in building a national digital foundation capable of supporting digital economic growth while safeguarding Indonesia’s strategic interests in the era of digital transformation. Director of Digital Ecosystem Development at the Ministry, Sonny Hendra Sudaryana, stressed the importance of synergy to ensure the national digital transformation proceeds safely, inclusively, and sustainably. ‘Strengthening sovereign cloud, AI, and cybersecurity is an important step in maintaining national data security, increasing trust in Indonesia’s digital ecosystem, and ensuring the national digital transformation can run safely, inclusively, and sustainably,’ Sonny stated. Telkom’s Director of Strategic Business Development and Portfolio, Seno Soemadji, asserted that digital sovereignty has become a strategic national necessity requiring cross-sector synergy. ‘Digital sovereignty is no longer just a technology issue, but the foundation for the nation’s competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability in the future. Indonesia must be able to build control over its own data, AI, cloud, and cybersecurity so it does not merely become a digital market but also the architect of its own digital future,’ Seno said. Seno added that through the TLKM 30 transformation, Telkom continues to strengthen its role not only as a connectivity provider but also as a service enabler to build a more resilient, secure, and independent national digital foundation. The forum highlighted three main focuses that form the foundation of Indonesia’s digital sovereignty: Sovereign Cloud, Sovereign AI, and Sovereign Cybersecurity. These three pillars serve as a collaboration framework to ensure Indonesia possesses computational capacity, AI capabilities, and digital security systems that can be sustainably developed domestically. As part of the forum, Telkom also strengthened the AdyaCakra initiative, a sovereign digital stack integrating national capabilities with the best global technology to support the needs of government, state-owned enterprises, and strategic industry sectors. AdyaCakra encompasses Sovereign Cloud capabilities through NeuCentrIX, NeutraDC Hyperscale, and edge infrastructure; Sovereign AI through AI Hub and Agentic AI BigBox; and Sovereign Cybersecurity through Telkom CSOC, sovereign threat intelligence, and managed detection & response. Eight global technology partners also participated in strategic discussions and the signing of an Intentional Collaboration as a joint commitment to support the development of a secure, resilient, and sovereign digital ecosystem. This collaboration is expected to accelerate the development of national capabilities, knowledge transfer, and the adoption of technology that provides added value for Indonesia. ‘This initiative is part of Telkom’s efforts to strengthen the national cloud, AI, and cybersecurity foundation to support the realisation of Indonesia’s digital sovereignty as well as the achievement of the Digital Indonesia Vision 2030 and the TLKM 30 transformation agenda,’ Seno concluded.
