Head of National Nutrition Agency Reveals Current Location of Thousands of MBG Electric Motorcycles
Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana has revealed the current position of 21,801 electric motorcycles purchased for the operational needs of the free nutritious meal programme (MBG). Dadan stated that thousands of these electric motorcycles are currently in a warehouse.
“They are now in the distributor’s warehouse,” said Dadan when contacted on Thursday night, 9 April 2026. He did not specify which distributor’s warehouse location he meant.
Previously, an internal BGN source said that the thousands of electric motorcycles were once stored in a warehouse in the Tangerang area and were later moved to the Cakung district military command headquarters in East Jakarta, before finally being placed in a warehouse in the Sentul area, Bogor, West Java.
In an amateur video that went viral on social media some time ago, it was mentioned that the location of the thousands of electric motorcycles bearing the BGN logo was in a warehouse in the West Java area. From the video, it was also known that the electric motorcycles purchased by BGN came from the Emmo Electric Mobility Indonesia brand.
There are two types of Emmo brand motorcycles purchased by BGN, namely the Emmo-JVX GT and Emmo-JV Max. Dadan once sent a screenshot of the brand in question to Tempo. The screenshot contained the types of electric motorcycles purchased along with their brands. Dadan confirmed that BGN purchased electric motorcycles from Emmo.
He also confirmed that the two types of motorcycles purchased by his agency were the Emmo-JVX GT type or trail motorcycle and the Emmo-JV Max type or scooter motorcycle. For the trail motorcycles, Dadan said his agency purchased them for Rp 43.3 million per unit. The scooter type motorcycles were purchased for Rp 41.7 million per unit.
When asked when these motorcycles would be distributed to the SPPG, Dadan has not yet responded.
In a separate opportunity, Dadan explained the reason his agency procured these electric motorcycles. He said that the MBG programme currently reaches difficult areas. “Reaching villages and areas that can only be accessed by motorcycle. This is to support operations,” he said at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.
Dadan also said that for the time being, the government does not plan to add more units of these electric motorcycles. “For now, we will suffice with this number because this is the 2025 budget. There is no planning for purchases in 2026,” he said.
