Jakarta — Foreign investors recorded net purchases (net foreign buy) in Indonesia’s domestic stock market during trading on Thursday, 12 March 2026. Based on trading data, total net foreign buy reached Rp1 trillion from a total transaction value of Rp10.01 trillion.

A number of stocks from the energy, banking, and telecommunications sectors attracted the attention of global investors ahead of this year’s extended Eid holiday break. The Indonesian stock exchange will be closed from 18-24 March 2026 in observance of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

Alamtri Resources Indonesia (ADRO) emerged as the most aggressively purchased stock by foreign investors, with net buy value reaching Rp209.7 billion. In second place was Adaro Andalan Indonesia (AADI) with net foreign buy of Rp196.3 billion, followed by Bank Mandiri (BMRI), which recorded foreign net purchases of approximately Rp184.8 billion.

Furthermore, Sinarmas Multiartha (SMMA) also entered the list of stocks heavily accumulated by foreign investors, with net buy of approximately Rp180.5 billion.

  • PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) - Rp59.6 billion

  • PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) - Rp54.7 billion

  • PT Capital Financial Indonesia Tbk (CASA) - Rp50.6 billion

  • PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) - Rp48.9 billion

Meanwhile, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) corrected by 0.37%, or declined 27.28 points, to 7,362.12 at the close of the second trading session yesterday.

A total of 211 stocks advanced, 461 declined, and 149 others remained unchanged. Transaction value reached Rp13.38 trillion involving 26.81 billion shares across 1.61 million transactions. Market capitalisation also decreased to Rp13,150 trillion.

The majority of trading sectors weakened, with the deepest corrections recorded in the infrastructure, property, and non-primary consumer sectors. Only the technology and financial sectors strengthened.

Large-capitalisation stocks were identified as the drivers of IHSG performance. Stocks supporting IHSG performance yesterday included DCII, BBCA, BMRI, BYAN, and SMMA.

Meanwhile, the heaviest drag on the IHSG during today’s trading was the decline in shares of BREN, DSSA, BRMS, VKTR, and MORA.
