First PUMA concept store opens at Pondok Indah Mall 2

Lovers of well-known sports and lifestyle brand from the German giant, PUMA will have an opportunity to get more collections when PUMA opens its first concept store in Indonesia at the Pondok Indah Mal 2 in South Jakarta.

The 100 sqm shop, with red and white color theme and interior design gives it style and elegance. Though known for its sports products, PUMA has also carved a niche for its lifestyle products. The new shop displays fashionable and stylish exclusive collections of PUMA Silver, Bronze and Jamaica.

General Manager of Prima Utama Mitra Abadi, the exclusive franchisee of Puma for Indonesia, Vikas Chhabra says: "There is more to Puma than mere sports-gear. Puma means sports-fashion- lifestyle gear. Each piece of apparel or footwear or accessory - what with its bold, vibrant colors is a fashion-statement in its own right. Puma sure has made a name for itself in terms of fabric, color and design."

The collections available includes one of PUMA's pioneer collections, Mahanuala a special range especially created for needs of yoga and other mind body sports in technical and active sense. The product caught the imagination of the customers with the super-duper display by the renowned model Christy Turlington. Whether one practices yoga or not, any woman will appreciate the comfort and ease of movement that this collection offers. The Mahanuala design not only follows function but also incorporates lifestyle, fashion and spirituality.

Each time one looks at the logo of Puma: one gets a distinct feeling of agility, power, raw-energy. And why not? Puma, after all, is another name for panther or a cougar or a mountain cat. The leaping, pouncing cat is a synonym of raw talent, fountainhead of spirit of a sportsperson. Small wonder then the brand, over the years, has been a strong representative of vigorous sports - be it athletics or soccer or even Formula motor racing.

And in the past couple of years this power brand from Germany has been making its presence felt in the archipelago of Indonesia. The wide array of T-shirts, shorts, track-suits, jackets, socks, accessory-items are winning the hearts of customers in all the major cities of the country. As of today, Puma apparel is available in selected shops of the wide criss- crossed network of Planet Sports, The Athlete's Foot (TAF), and Sports Stations. Looking to the increasing demand of the Puma- gear it was only in the fitness of things that a shop in shop was set up in Sogo at Plaza Senayan early this year. And with that the Puma's speciality-shop-culture had begun.

There is no denying that Puma's unique individualism, spontaneity and internationalism makes the products a class apart. They have created an indelible impression on the minds of the young. It believes in colors that can be audaciously funky - like the Ferrari Red. In fact, the red color itself is the flag color of Puma. Take fabrics, for instance. Be it the polyester breathable fabrics or the age-old basic cottons. The designs openly declare themselves that they are different. "Puma is bold in its products but discreet in its advertising," Chhabra says.
