BTN targets market cooperative ecosystem through partnership with Inkoppas
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) is expanding its business through a strategic partnership with Induk Koperasi Pedagang Pasar (Inkoppas), targeting the market cooperative ecosystem. BTN’s President Director, Nixon LP Napitupulu, stated in a press release received in Jakarta on Thursday that the collaboration aims to promote the digitalisation of cooperatives and market traders, while expanding financial inclusion in the traditional market sector. Several programmes have been prepared, ranging from digital banking services and market fee digitalisation to the distribution of financing such as Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) for cooperative member traders. In addition, BTN is opening opportunities for other financing distribution, including productive credit for market traders. This step is expected to improve access to capital and drive the growth of traditional market-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). “Through the collaboration with Inkoppas, BTN not only provides digital transaction services but also opens access to financing for cooperative member traders so that their business capacity can increase sustainably,” said Nixon. Meanwhile, Inkoppas General Chairman Yudianto Tri stated that digitalisation and access to financing are now primary needs for market traders amid the digital economic transformation. Through this partnership, Inkoppas hopes that cooperative members and market traders will gain broader access to financial services, from digital payments and transaction management to business financing. The BTN and Inkoppas partnership also covers the digitalisation of market management, including digitalisation of fees and payment system integration to make transactions more transparent, efficient, and well-documented. The digital transaction records are considered important as they can serve as a basis for financial institutions to provide more measured financing to traders. The prepared initiatives include the installation of QRIS Bale Merchant and EDC machines to facilitate payments. Additionally, Bale Agen outlets will be opened at cooperatives or market managers to expand banking services. BTN is also preparing community apps for cooperative members and market traders, which are expected to support business activities while strengthening the community-based financial ecosystem. Through this partnership, BTN and Inkoppas will continue to explore various development opportunities, from cooperative digitalisation to providing more comprehensive financial services. According to both parties, this synergy is expected to accelerate the transformation of traditional markets while expanding financing access for millions of traders in Indonesia.
