Jakarta — PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) is working to strengthen its funding structure by boosting low-cost funds (CASA—Current Account and Savings Accounts).

Aquarius Rudianto, Director of Networking and Retail Funding at BRI, stated that the growth in low-cost funds continues to be supported by a digital channel optimisation strategy, which has demonstrated positive performance.

He explained that BRImo, the application for retail customers, has recorded significant growth. Active users increased 18.9% year-on-year to 45.9 million in December 2025. Transaction value reached Rp7,076.9 trillion, growing 26.4% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the Qlola application, targeted at mid-market and commercial as well as corporate customers, also showed strong growth. Active users reached 113,000, up 48.1% year-on-year, with sales volume increasing 36.2% year-on-year to Rp13,456 trillion.

Aquarius continued that from the merchant side, business transaction volumes through BRI also increased rapidly. Merchant sales volume rose 48.1% year-on-year to Rp223.2 trillion.

BRI QRIS also showed an increasing trend, with sales volume up 100% year-on-year to Rp85.6 trillion. The transaction count grew 127.5% year-on-year to more than 782.8 billion transactions.

“This achievement confirms that BRI’s digital transformation not only strengthens the low-cost funding base but also expands an inclusive digital payment ecosystem for all segments of society,” said Aquarius at a financial performance press conference on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

On the same occasion, BRI’s President Director, Hery Gunardi, stated that the bank for the common people had successfully boosted the composition of low-cost funds. He noted that the CASA proportion, which stood at 66.6% of third-party funds in 2024, increased to approximately 71% last year.

Overall, BRI’s third-party funds grew 7.4% year-on-year to approximately Rp1,466.84 trillion on a consolidated basis. Current accounts recorded growth of 19.7% year-on-year and savings rose 7.9% year-on-year, reflecting a strengthening of retail and non-wholesale-based funding structure.

BRI’s liquidity also remained well-maintained with a loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR) at 91.4%, still in the ample category to support sustainable credit expansion.
