Through this collaboration, a more effective, targeted and sustainable energy governance is expected to be created. Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) and the North Maluku Provincial Government (Pemprov Maluku Utara) are boosting compliance with non-tax state revenue (PNBP) and regional revenues. The improvement in compliance is realised through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the Utilisation of Data and/or Information to Enhance Compliance with PNBP Payments and Regional Revenues by the Head of BPH Migas Wahyudi Anas and the Governor of North Maluku Sherly Tjoanda in Jakarta, Thursday. Wahyudi said that this PKS represents a joint step to strengthen the distribution of motor fuels (BBM) in North Maluku. The synergy between BPH Migas and Pemprov Maluku Utara is important in supporting BBM distribution oversight. “BPH Migas is committed to maintaining the availability and distribution of BBM so that it continues to function well for the public. Through this cooperation, a more effective, targeted and sustainable energy governance is expected to be created,” Wahyudi said in a statement. The exchange of data and information is expected to enhance oversight and optimise both national and regional revenues. In the PKS, both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the confidentiality of exchanged data and information. “There are provisions in the transmission of data related to its confidentiality. Let us safeguard it together,” he asserted. At the same time, Sherly welcomed the cooperation with BPH Migas to strengthen BBM distribution oversight in North Maluku. This collaboration is also an important step to increase compliance and optimise regional revenues. “The data and information exchange is expected to support more effective and targeted BBM distribution oversight. The cooperation is expected to provide real benefits for the people and development of North Maluku,” she said. Sherly also explained the commitment to supporting access to energy that is fair, equitable and sustainable. After this PKS, Sherly will promptly deploy a team to coordinate further with BPH Migas. “We will work together to ensure that subsidised BBM is indeed distributed to those who need it, so that economic activity can proceed smoothly,” she said. Sherly added that this cooperation is a first step and if carried out carefully, would yield positive results. “Once again, we would like to thank you for this good cooperation. We will be the eyes and ears of BPH Migas in North Maluku Province to ensure that the distribution of subsidised BBM is targeted and that all potential taxes payable to the state can be optimised,” she said. Attending the event were members of the BPH Migas Committee, including Bambang Hermanto, Eman Salman Arief, Erika Retnowati, Fathul Nugroho and Harya Adityawarman. Also present were the Secretary of BPH Migas Patuan Alfon S, the Director of Petrol and Oil BPH Migas Chrisnawan Anindtya, Acting Deputy III of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Syska Hutagalung, Inspector of North Maluku Agus Riyanto.
