Financial activities among the public are expected to increase ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Money transfers, payments for necessities, and shopping at various merchants make digital banking services a mainstay during the Lebaran period. Bank Mandiri is preparing its digital services to handle this surge. System enhancements are being made to ensure customer transactions run smoothly amid high public mobility. Senior Executive Vice President of Information Technology at Bank Mandiri, Susilo Hardiyantono, stated that transaction increases have become a routine pattern every Lebaran. Therefore, system capacity and infrastructure have been strengthened from the outset. “We ensure services remain stable and responsive so customers can transact comfortably,” he said, quoted on Thursday (19/3/2026). For the public, the convenience of transacting without visiting branches is an important need, especially during mudik. The Livin’ by Mandiri app has become one of the primary choices for various daily transactions. Through the app, customers can perform interbank transfers, bill payments, top-ups for digital wallets, and QRIS transactions. The travel ticket purchase feature is also utilised by mudik travellers to plan journeys. In addition, topping up e-money card balances can be done directly from mobile phones. This service is considered helpful for mudik travellers when making toll and parking payments without hassle. To support convenience, Bank Mandiri also provides direct assistance services through the app. Customers can contact the call centre without call charges if they encounter transaction issues. Public trust in these digital services continues to grow. As of February 2026, the number of Livin’ by Mandiri users reached 38.5 million, with a total of 784 million transactions and a transaction value of around Rp 802 trillion. According to Susilo, this achievement shows that the public is increasingly accustomed to using digital services in daily financial activities. “This forms the basis for us to continue strengthening the system to handle large transaction volumes,” he said. Amid the dense mudik traffic, digital services become the main support for public transactions. With quick and easy access, the public can still meet their needs without being hindered by time and location.
