All Long-Distance Train Services Operating Normally Today
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has stated that as of today, Thursday 30 April 2026, all long-distance train (KA JJ) services are operating normally with no cancellations. The service recovery process is ongoing and showing positive progress.
During this operational adjustment period, train journeys may still experience slight delays. KAI continues to make gradual operational arrangements, prioritising safety and smooth travel.
KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication, Anne Purba, stated that KAI is continuously ensuring that services can return to running well while fulfilling customer rights.
“We apologise for the inconvenience experienced by customers. During this recovery process, we ask for understanding if journeys still experience delays. KAI continues to strive for services to run smoothly again and for customer rights to remain fulfilled,” said Anne in her official statement on Thursday 30 April 2026.
KAI ensures that every stage of recovery is carried out carefully and measurably so that train journeys can proceed safely.
13,027 Affected Long-Distance Train Tickets Successfully Refunded
As previously reported, following the collision between the KRL Commuter and the Argo Bromo Anggrek train, KAI has implemented a full refund policy for affected passengers. This 100 percent fare refund policy applies to customers with departure schedules on 27-28 April 2026.
Based on data up to 29 April 2026 at 17:00 WIB, 13,027 long-distance train tickets affected by the incident at Bekasi Timur have been successfully refunded.
Anne explained that the refund policy is provided in full to give certainty to customers.
“KAI provides a 100% ticket fare refund, excluding booking fees, for affected customers. The entire process can be accessed easily through various service channels,” said Anne.
Ticket refunds apply to customers who cancel their journeys due to delays, postponements of more than one hour, route changes, and those who choose not to use replacement trains or onward transport modes. This policy also covers return tickets, connecting tickets, and KAI Group service tickets within one affected booking code.
For customers who continue their journey using replacement trains of the same or higher class, no additional fees are charged. If the journey cannot proceed to the destination station, KAI endeavours to provide onward transport, and ticket refunds are still given in full.
