The service recovery process\nis ongoing and showing positive progress.<\/p>\n<p>During this operational adjustment period, train journeys may still\nexperience slight delays. KAI continues to make gradual operational\narrangements, prioritising safety and smooth travel.<\/p>\n<p>KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication, Anne Purba, stated\nthat KAI is continuously ensuring that services can return to running\nwell while fulfilling customer rights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe apologise for the inconvenience experienced by customers. During\nthis recovery process, we ask for understanding if journeys still\nexperience delays. KAI continues to strive for services to run smoothly\nagain and for customer rights to remain fulfilled,\u201d said Anne in her\nofficial statement on Thursday 30 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>KAI ensures that every stage of recovery is carried out carefully and\nmeasurably so that train journeys can proceed safely.<\/p>\n<p>13,027 Affected Long-Distance Train Tickets Successfully Refunded<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, following the collision between the KRL\nCommuter and the Argo Bromo Anggrek train, KAI has implemented a full\nrefund policy for affected passengers. This 100 percent fare refund\npolicy applies to customers with departure schedules on 27-28 April\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data up to 29 April 2026 at 17:00 WIB, 13,027 long-distance\ntrain tickets affected by the incident at Bekasi Timur have been\nsuccessfully refunded.<\/p>\n<p>Anne explained that the refund policy is provided in full to give\ncertainty to customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI provides a 100% ticket fare refund, excluding booking fees, for\naffected customers. The entire process can be accessed easily through\nvarious service channels,\u201d said Anne.<\/p>\n<p>Ticket refunds apply to customers who cancel their journeys due to\ndelays, postponements of more than one hour, route changes, and those\nwho choose not to use replacement trains or onward transport modes. This\npolicy also covers return tickets, connecting tickets, and KAI Group\nservice tickets within one affected booking code.<\/p>\n<p>For customers who continue their journey using replacement trains of\nthe same or higher class, no additional fees are charged. If the journey\ncannot proceed to the destination station, KAI endeavours to provide\nonward transport, and ticket refunds are still given in full.<\/p>",
