JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that 20 percent to 30 percent of participants in the National Internship Programme have been recruited by private companies.

This figure comes from monitoring results by the Ministry of Manpower.

“Some have already recruited, yes, 20 percent of the interns, some 30 percent, and we are currently compiling the data,” said Yassierli, quoted from the official Kemenaker YouTube channel on Thursday (24/4/2026).

Yassierli assessed that companies have given a positive response to the participants’ performance. Several companies acknowledged the quality of the participants, although not all could recruit them yet.

“We want to recruit, but unfortunately we cannot recruit at this time due to internal company conditions,” said Yassierli, quoting business actors.

He viewed this acknowledgement as a signal of future job opportunities.

“Of course, congratulations to the younger siblings in batch 1 of the internship participants who have completed and have been offered jobs by companies,” said Yassierli.

The programme is not fully complete for participants. The Ministry of Manpower is still preparing the next stage in the form of competency certification.

This programme is run together with the National Professional Certification Agency. Participants are free to choose whether to join or not.

“The competency certificate is one proof that a person is indeed competent in a certain competency skill,” he said.

During the programme, participants receive wages equivalent to the regional minimum wage paid by the government.
