Indonesia Energi Mega Boosts Oil Production

VIVAnews - PT Energi Mega Persada pushed oil production by 1,942 barrels of oil per day from the Malacca Strait PSC Block in Riau, Sumatra. According to Energi Mega President Director, Imam Agustino, the additional production is supplied by MD-03 offshore well, which is part of Mengkapan oil field. Previous drilling from the well only resulted in no more than 80 barrels per day.

China to build four cement factories in Indonesia Jakarta (ANTARA News) - China is planning to construct four cement factories in Kalimantan and Papua with a total investment of 2.35 billion US dollars. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the cement factories development plan was signed by the industry ministry`s Director General for Manufacturing Industry Base Panggah Susanto and a Chinese consortium here Thursday.

Malaysia wishes to invest in South Lampung plantations

Kalianda, Lampung (ANTARA News) - The Agricultural Development Agency of Negeri Perak, Malaysia, is interested in investing in coconut plantations in South Lampung regency. South Lampung regency administration secretary Sutono said here Friday that they wished to know the potential of coconut estates in the area in their visit to the region recently.

Foreign tourist arrival in Bali up 6.61 pct

Denpasar, Bali Province (ANTARA News) - Bali Island has attracted over 1.05 million foreign tourists during the first five months of 2011. During January-May 2011, Bali received a total of 1,05 million foreign tourists, up 6.61 percent from 992,335 during the same period in 2010, Gede Suarsa, Chairman of the Bali Central Bureau of Statistics said here Saturday. Most of the foreign tourists arrived at Ngurah Rai airport, Bali, by planes, and only 12,369 people came by cruisers or ships.

Govt discussing tax holiday for investors

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government is considering granting a tax holiday to investors who participate in the implementation of the Master Plan for Indonesian Economic Development and Expansion (MP3EI), a minister said. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa said here on Monday final discussions on the idea would be done at a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
