Indonesia plans to form state animal husbandry company

JAKARTA, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian government plans to form a state-owned animal husbandry company to help achieve beef self-sufficient, detikcom online news quoted a minister as saying on Tuesday. "A state-owned animal husbandry company is very important in the future. This is for beef self-sufficient (purpose)," said Agriculture Minister Suswono. Tata Consortium Wins Geothermal Bid in Indonesia

A consortium comprising Tata Power, Origin Energy and Supraco Indonesia has won the bid for the Sorik Marapi geothermal project in Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. The Sorik Marapi project will include the development of about 240MW of geothermal generation capacity. The project will be developed by Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power (SMGP), a special purpose vehicle formed by the consortium.
