Business People Asks that Dumai No Longer Be Entry Point for Food Imports

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Food and beverage businessmen have suggested that the port of Dumai no longer be used as the entry point for food and beverage imports. “Based on information from the excise office, very little food and beverage imports come through Dumai,” said Franky Sibarani, the Indonesian Food and Beverage Businessmen Association Secretary General, yesterday.

Foreign investors to build cocoa-processing plants in w Sulawesi

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Three foreign investors look set to build cocoa-processing plants in West Sulawesi province next year with a combined production capacity of 90,000 tons per month, a spokesman said. The three were Geogchoubou Group Company (CGGC) of China, Barry Callebaut of the Netherlands, and International Container Group of the Philippines, Harry Warganegara, chief of the West Sulawesi chapter of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), said on Friday.

US Consul General in Medan (North Sumatra) Stanly Harsha, said here on Saturday that Aceh needed legal certainty and better implementation of the Islamic sharia to attract international investment.
