Tire Exports to Brazil Run Smoothly

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:National tire businessmen have not had problems in exporting heir products to Brazil. Tjutju Darmawan, the Indonesian Tire Companies Association secretary-general, said he has not received any report from his members concerning the Brazilian government’s import regulations which tend to impede tire exports from Indonesia. He also claimed he has not encountered any barriers on imports.

Chinese VP: Trade with Indonesia rising

Beijing (ANTARA News) - Chinese Vice President Xi Jingping said trade with Indonesia had continued to rise reaching US$26.7 billion in the January-August period of 2010. "It has increased by 59 percent compared with the same period last year," he said here on Wednesday when receiving Indonesian Vice President Boediono. He said the increasing trade between the two countries was an important momentum in the two countries` relations.

Vietnamese investors explore opportunities in Babel

Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung (ANTARA News) - Investors from Vietnam have explored a location in Bangka Selatan district in Bangka-Belitung (Babel) province to invest in the fisheries sector. "The investors from Vietnam intended to invest in the fisheries sector and have visited Bangka Selatan district to obtain first hand information about suitable locations for their investment," Babel Governor Eko Maulana Ali said here on Thursday.

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia is one of the big three projector market in Asia Pacific after China and India, a senior sales manager of PT NEC Indonesia said. "This indicates the big chance for businesses to tap projector market in Indonesia," Ferry Faried Badjeber, senior sales manager and business development division of PT NEC Indonesia, said in a NEC Media Gathering event here on Thursday. He said that the growth of projector market in Indonesia was quite promising.

BKPM to assign more staff at overseas offices

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Capital Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM) will assign more staff at its overseas offices to ease their increasing workload in attracting investment, a spokesman said. "We will strengthen the human resources at several of our overseas offices," BKPM Deputy Chief M Yus`an said after a working meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR)`s Commission VI, here on Thursday.
