Tax office to create program to reduce tax evasion
i doubt it's just one person. this has been an on-going process for some years now, starting with Finance Ministry, then with direct KPK involvement in designing systems that reduced the opportunities for corruption.

things have certainly changed over the past 3 or so years. remains to be seen if they can sustain it, especially while other govt depts continue to wallow in the shit of corruption. Immigration Office is getting worse, Manpower is getting worse, police have barely advanced at all since 2003, law...

I will say I have been impressed with my dealings with the tax office. Of all the government departments they seem to be making the most effort to clean themselves up. The changes seem to be affecting SME business and individuals, and I am sure over time the big companies and high wealth...

More firms to import alcoholic drinks sought
The Customs and Excise Office has urged the Trade Ministry to allow more companies to import alcoholic beverages, instead of just one currently, to help curb smuggling.Today the import of alcoholic drinks is monopolized by state-owned company PT Sarinah.
