During this Lebaran moment, Erick performed the Eid prayer at Jami’ At-Thohir Mosque in Depok, West Java, together with his family and the surrounding community. “Alhamdulillah, Eid al-Fitr prayer at At-Thohir Mosque with family and the community,” wrote Erick Thohir on his Instagram page on Saturday. The government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of the Republic of Indonesia, has officially set Eid al-Fitr on 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah to fall on Saturday, 21 March 2026. The Minister of Religious Affairs explained that the decision was made following the results of the moon sighting conducted by the Kemenag RI’s Hisab Rukyat Team, which indicated that the height of the new moon across all regions of Indonesia did not meet the criteria set by the Ministers of Religious Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore (MABIMS).
