Yoong to test with Minardi
MONZA, Italy (Reuters): Malaysian Alex Yoong made further
progress toward what he hopes will be a Formula One drive later
this season with a second test for Minardi on Wednesday.
Yoong, who aims to become his country's first Formula One
driver by replacing Brazilian Tarso Marques at the back of the
grid team, completed 49 laps on partially worn tires and a full
fuel load.
The 24-year-old's quickest time of one minute 30.90 seconds
was five seconds off the pace set on Tuesday by Brazilian Ricardo
Zonta in a Jordan.
