Yogie swears in La Ode Kaimoeddin
KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Minister of Home Affairs Moch. Yogie S.M. swore in La Ode Kaimoeddin yesterday as the province's governor for his second five-year term.
"As a governor, you must act as a model and a pillar for society and the central government," Antara quoted Yogie as telling Kaimoeddin in his speech.
He expressed hope that Kaimoeddin's reelection was not deemed by local people as a blow to Kaimoeddin's contenders in the election.
Kaimoeddin won 32 out of 45 votes in the election of the province's governor last month. His contenders included Abdurauf Tarimana and Zua Fasihu.
"You can cooperate with South Sulawesi and Maluku provinces in developing this province's rich sea resources," Yogie told him. (prb)
