The President’s Special Envoy for Energy and Environment, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, stated that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara Indonesia, Rosan Roeslani, is targeting the purchase of land 400 metres from Masjidil Haram.
“This month, Mr Rosan of Danantara is bidding against several dozen competitors to acquire land 400 metres from Masjidil Haram,” said Hashim at the 2026 Economic Briefing held in Jakarta on Thursday.
The Ministry of Agriculture Targets White Crystal Sugar Production of 3.04 Million Tonnes in 2026
The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) targets white crystal sugar (GKP) production to reach 3.04 million tonnes this year, with the national existing sugarcane harvest area covering 576,538 hectares.
“Synergy between the government, SOEs, private sector, sugarcane farmers, and all stakeholders is the key to realising comprehensive national sugar self-sufficiency, both for consumption and industry,” said the Director of Annual and Perennial Crops of the Ministry of Agriculture, Abdul Roni, in Surabaya on Thursday.
Danantara Targets Energy Investment to Singapore Worth $30 Billion
The Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara is targeting involvement in a renewable energy cooperation project with Singapore, with the project investment value estimated at $30 billion or approximately Rp518.74 trillion.
Danantara’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Pandu Sjahrir, said that investor interest in the green electricity supply project is quite high. The project includes the construction of solar panel infrastructure and cross-border transmission networks.
