Bapanas strengthens intervention to maintain food price stability ahead of Eid
The National Food Agency (Bapanas) is strengthening various food intervention programmes in partnership with stakeholders to maintain price stability of strategic staple foods during Ramadhan through to Eid 1447 Hijriah or Eid 2026.
“The government ensures that various food intervention programmes continue until Eid to guarantee food availability for the public,” said Deputy for Food Availability and Stabilisation at Bapanas, I Gusti Ketut Astawa, in a statement received in Jakarta on Sunday.
Indonesia and Japan agree on critical minerals and nuclear energy cooperation
Indonesia and Japan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in two strategic sectors: critical minerals and nuclear energy, during bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Indo-Pacific Energy Security Ministerial and Business Forum (IPEM) in Tokyo on Sunday.
Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, in a press statement received in Jakarta on Sunday, affirmed that the cooperation will strengthen a more integrated and sustainable energy system.
ASDP: Migrants from Java to Sumatra begin moving from H-8 Eid
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) stated that the movement of migrants from Java to Sumatra via the Merak-Bakauheni route began as early as H-8 Eid 1447 Hijriah or Friday (13 March).
“As Eid approaches, public mobility across various Indonesian regions is increasing, with the movement of migrants wishing to cross from Java to Sumatra on the Merak-Bakauheni route beginning to show dynamic patterns,” said ASDP General Director Heru Widodo in his statement in Jakarta on Sunday.
Investment realisation across 25 special economic zones reaches 82.6 trillion rupiah throughout 2025
The Acting Secretary General of the National Council for Special Economic Zones (KEK), Rizal Edwin Manansang, reported that investment realisation across 25 special economic zones throughout 2025 reached 82.6 trillion rupiah or approximately 98 per cent of the target set.
Labour absorption in these zones was recorded at 88,541 persons.

Indonesia and Singapore are finalising plans for clean electricity exports and projecting the Riau Islands as a hub for sustainable technology industry.
Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, in his statement in Jakarta on Sunday, said that clean electricity exports from Indonesia to Singapore are directed not merely as energy trade, but also as a lever for attracting high-technology industrial investment.
