Jakarta (ANTARA) - Various legal news stories were reported by the ANTARA News Agency on Monday (13/4), ranging from Anwar Usman’s retirement from his position as a constitutional judge to Attorney General ST Burhanuddin mutating 14 regional chief prosecutors (kajati). Anwar Usman feels “relieved” to leave the Constitutional Court Former Constitutional Court Justice Anwar Usman admitted feeling “relieved” or at ease after leaving the Constitutional Court (MK) following the completion of his 15-year service. “So, I’m relieved now, to be honest, that’s why I was moved to tears, not because I’m sad to leave the MK, no…,” said Anwar when met after the retirement ceremony. KPK examines aide to Abdul Wahid as suspect in alleged extortion case The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined the aide to inactive Riau Governor Abdul Wahid, Marjani (MJN), as a suspect in an alleged extortion case within the Riau Provincial Government. “The examination took place at the KPK’s Red and White Building for MJN as the aide to the Riau Governor,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo. Police uncover illegal cosmetics production and distribution case in Bogor The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency uncovered a case of illegal cosmetics production and distribution in Bogor Regency, West Java. Narcotics Crime Director of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brig. Gen. Pol. Eko Hadi Santoso in Jakarta on Monday (13/4) stated that in the uncovering by Subdirectorate III of the Dittipidnarkoba of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, investigators secured three individuals: RH as the business owner, MR as a worker, and FA as a courier. In LNG corruption case, former Pertamina Director prosecuted for 6.5 years in prison The Public Prosecutor from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) demanded that Hari Karyuliarto, Director of Gas at PT Pertamina (Persero) from 2012–2014, receive a prison sentence of six years and six months in the alleged corruption case of liquefied natural gas procurement. “We demand that the panel of judges declare the defendants proven guilty legally and convincingly of committing the criminal act of corruption, as stated in the first indictment,” said Prosecutor Yoga Pratomo. Attorney General mutates 14 Regional Chief Prosecutors, including North Sumatra’s Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has once again conducted mutations and rotations of personnel in the Prosecutors’ Corps, including 14 prosecutors for positions as regional chief prosecutors (kajati) in various regions, one of which is the North Sumatra Regional Chief Prosecutor. The mutation and rotation are contained in the Decree of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia Number 488 of 2026 dated 13 April 2026 and signed by the Attorney General. Read more here.
