Yayuk to get cartoonist award

JAKARTA (JP): National tennis queen Yayuk Basuki will have
her portrait drawn by renowned cartoonist GM Sudarta in exchange
for her participation in the upcoming Indonesia Junior Master
championships organized by the Jakarta-based Sports Journalists
Association.

Yayuk will play an exhibition battle of the sexes against Ivan
Taufik tomorrow, the second day of the year-end tournament.

The championships will pit 16 of the nation's best male and female
junior players in round-robin matches. Each division will have two
groups, with the top two players advancing to the cross-over
semifinals.

Top seed Ivan will take on Windrawan in today's opener. Champion
of the Indonesia Master women's singles Eny Sulistyowati and her
runner-up Wukirasih Sawondari are favored to renew their rivalry in
Saturday's final. (amd)
