Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT XTB Indonesia Berjangka (XTB Indonesia) has officially launched a real-time call verification feature directly within its application. This feature is a response to the increasing threats of telephone-based scams that are increasingly targeting investors in Indonesia.

With this feature, XTB Indonesia customers can directly confirm whether the telephone calls they receive are genuinely from the XTB team. Whenever a customer service representative or sales team contacts a customer, users can request a real-time notification in the app that confirms the caller’s identity before providing any information.

This feature also simplifies the verification process when customers contact XTB Indonesia’s customer service. No longer necessary to answer a series of security questions, simply approve the push notification in the app, and the verification process is complete in one quick and secure step.

The Managing Director of XTB Indonesia Berjangka, Jodhi Gahara Aji, emphasised that in Indonesia, public awareness of telephone-based scam threats still needs to be continuously improved.

“This call verification feature is present as our commitment to providing real peace of mind to XTB Indonesia customers every time they interact with our team,” he stated, quoted on Friday (8/5/2026).

XTB Global CEO Omar Arnaout added that this innovation is part of XTB’s global commitment to customer security.

“Customer account security is our top priority. At a time when global cyber threats are evolving faster than ever before, we believe financial institutions must lead with innovation and responsibility,” he said.

The launch of this feature aligns with findings from the CrowdStrike 2025 Global Threat Report, which recorded a 442% surge in phishing attacks in the second half of 2024. This makes real-time identity protection a fundamental need, not just an additional feature, for modern investment platforms.
