Workshop on Best Practices of Successful Balanced Scorecard
Implementations

Naresh Makhijani and Dr. James Creelman will give a practical
two-day workshop based on the findings of their upcoming book
titled Mastering Business in Asia - Succeeding with the Balanced
Scorecard. The workshop will be held at the Financial Club,
Jakarta on March 15 and March 16, 2005.

This workshop will give insights into the success stories of
major Balanced Scorecard organizations, such as Singapore's
Prison Service, Singapore's Gold Coin Group, Singapore's
Subordinate Courts, Singapore's Civil Service College,
Singapore's Centrepoint Properties, Hong Kong's MTR Corporation
India's Tata Motors, Indian Telecommunications Company, Saatchi &
Saatchi Worldwide, Indonesia's Summarecon, and the country's Bank
Universal (now part of Bank Permata).

The authors have discussed the best practices of successful
Balanced Scorecard companies in Asia in the book.

According to the authors, in the current competitive scenario,
Balanced Scorecard is becoming an important management tool for
companies in order to withstand the competition.

Building a scorecard helps managers link today's actions with
the achievement of today's priorities. "It encourages
accountability. And, today, accountability is defined by
results," they said.
