Naresh Makhijani and Dr. James Creelman will give a practical
\ntwo-day workshop based on the findings of their upcoming book
\ntitled Mastering Business in Asia - Succeeding with the Balanced
\nScorecard. The workshop will be held at the Financial Club,
\nJakarta on March 15 and March 16, 2005.<\/p>\n
This workshop will give insights into the success stories of
\nmajor Balanced Scorecard organizations, such as Singapore's
\nPrison Service, Singapore's Gold Coin Group, Singapore's
\nSubordinate Courts, Singapore's Civil Service College,
\nSingapore's Centrepoint Properties, Hong Kong's MTR Corporation
\nIndia's Tata Motors, Indian Telecommunications Company, Saatchi &
\nSaatchi Worldwide, Indonesia's Summarecon, and the country's Bank
\nUniversal (now part of Bank Permata).<\/p>\n
The authors have discussed the best practices of successful
\nBalanced Scorecard companies in Asia in the book.<\/p>\n
According to the authors, in the current competitive scenario,
\nBalanced Scorecard is becoming an important management tool for
\ncompanies in order to withstand the competition.<\/p>\n
Building a scorecard helps managers link today's actions with
\nthe achievement of today's priorities. "It encourages
\naccountability. And, today, accountability is defined by
\nresults," they said.<\/p>\n
