Depok — The discovery of the skeletal remains of a woman found in a house in the Meruyung area of Limo, Depok, has revealed a history of domestic conflict between the victim and her unregistered husband.

The victim, identified as DH, aged 56, had expelled her unregistered husband, ARH, aged 44, approximately four months before her remains were discovered. The couple’s quarrels were accompanied by threats of murder.

A local resident, Muslim, stated that the couple had married approximately one year prior. However, their relationship was frequently marked by arguments, with tensions peaking in November 2025.

Following the altercation, the victim expelled the man from her home. ARH subsequently left the residence.

Shortly after the incident, the victim informed neighbours that she would be travelling to Sukabumi, West Java.

However, approximately one to two weeks later, the victim and the man were observed living together in the house again.

Subsequently, Muslim reported that he did not see the victim again, despite her previously leaving the house almost every morning.

“The reason was that she was going to Sukabumi. Then, after a few weeks, she returned. I haven’t seen her since, except for that eviction,” Muslim stated.

The victim is known to have had two children. However, neither was living with her in the house at the time.

The victim’s remains were discovered in one of the bedrooms belonging to her child, identified as L. When found, the body was covered by a pile of clothing and carpet on the floor of the bedroom.

The discovery of the remains began when L, accompanied by her partner, R, visited the victim’s house in February 2026 to clean it.

They arrived after receiving information that the victim was travelling to Sukabumi, West Java.

“When they first arrived at the house, the gate door was locked from the outside,” stated Cinere Police Chief Commissioner Chairul Shaleh when confirmed on Monday, 9 March 2026.
