JAKARTA – A woman who frequently went viral due to allegations of not paying for meals returned to public attention after her actions were captured and circulated on social media on Friday, 27 February 2026.

This time, she was apprehended by officers after taking food belonging to a customer at a fast food restaurant in the Hayam Wuruk area, Central Jakarta.

Based on posts from the Instagram account @jabodetabek24info, the woman entered the restaurant area and took food belonging to a customer who was present at the location. She then left without paying.

The bespectacled woman was eventually apprehended by officers from the Municipal Police Unit (Satpol PP) and subsequently handed over to the Social Welfare Sub-Office (Sudinsos) of Central Jakarta on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

In video footage that circulated, the woman apologised to the Satpol PP officers. The video also showed interrogation by officers, including when it became apparent she was not carrying an identity card.

Agus Aripianto, Head of Sudinsos Central Jakarta, confirmed that the woman had been handed over for assessment.

“So the person in question was secured at the neighbourhood level last night. We then conducted a preliminary assessment, and it turned out to be confirmed as Nani Sitorus,” said Agus when contacted by Kompas.com on Friday.

According to Agus, based on the results of the initial assessment, the woman showed signs of mental health disorder and was therefore referred to Duren Sawit Psychiatric Hospital (RSKD).

“Because there are indications of mental health issues, we referred her to RSKD Duren Sawit. Since RSKD focuses on mental health and related matters, they have now taken her into their care,” he explained.

“It will ultimately be up to the medical team. However, given that she is causing disturbance and inconvenience to the public, we decided to take action. Because for a normal person, this behaviour should not occur,” said Agus.

“So we suspect there is a connection to mental health issues. That is why we referred her to RSKD Duren Sawit. But this does not mean I am making a diagnosis of mental illness, but the indications suggest that,” he stressed.

Previously, the same woman was also suspected of committing similar acts at a food stall on Jalan Srengseng Raya, Kembangan, West Jakarta, on Sunday, 22 February 2026.

Zahra, 22, the food stall keeper, recounted that the incident began when the perpetrator sought shelter at the stall during heavy rain.
