With 1,300 Stores, MR D.I.Y. Launches 'Same Price Always' Commitment
PT Daya Intiguna Yasa Tbk, or MR D.I.Y. Indonesia (MDIY), announced today, Thursday (7/5), the achievement of 1,300 stores operating across Indonesia. This milestone strengthens MR D.I.Y. Indonesia’s position as Indonesia’s largest household goods retailer with an unmatched operational scale in its category.
This expansion is not merely business growth but an effort to ensure that every Indonesian family has access to affordable and comprehensive products. The 1,300th store is located in Tideng Pale Timur, Sesayap subdistrict, Tana Tidung Regency, North Kalimantan.
MR D.I.Y. Indonesia’s President Director, Edwin Cheah, revealed that alongside this achievement, the company is also launching the ‘Same Price Always’ commitment. This commitment underscores the company’s focus on maintaining affordability so that customers can continue to obtain the best value for their daily needs.
“Through the ‘Same Price Always’ commitment, we want to affirm that affordability remains MR D.I.Y. Indonesia’s top priority. Amid dynamic economic conditions, we want customers to continue fulfilling their household goods needs with the best prices and value for everyday requirements,” Edwin stated on Thursday (7/5/2026).
Same Price Always: Maintaining Affordability for Society
The “Same Price Always” commitment was launched as part of MR D.I.Y. Indonesia’s efforts to maintain price stability for Indonesian society amid dynamic economic conditions. Through this initiative, the company reaffirms its commitment to avoiding general price increases.
This initiative is built on the foundation of the national single pricing policy implemented since the company’s operations began in 2017. Prices displayed on MR D.I.Y. Indonesia store shelves apply uniformly across all regions without adjustments based on location, distance, or distribution complexity to any store.
“Through the ‘Same Price Always’ commitment, MR D.I.Y. Indonesia now reinforces its focus on maintaining price consistency and affordability over time, so customers across Indonesia can continue to obtain the best value for their daily needs,” Edwin said.
With a network of 1,300 stores now spread across Indonesia, MR D.I.Y. Indonesia continues to strive to provide more equitable access to affordable, comprehensive, and nearby products for Indonesian society.
In less than nine months, MR D.I.Y. Indonesia added around 200 stores. From the 1,100th store in Jakarta (August 2025), to the 1,200th in Sumbawa (December 2025), to the 1,300th in Tana Tidung, this reflects consistent and disciplined expansion.
North Kalimantan: Bringing Access Closer to Remote Areas
MR D.I.Y. Indonesia’s Director/VP of Business Development, Michael Cohen, stated that Tana Tidung Regency is one of Indonesia’s northernmost regions, with more complex distribution challenges compared to major cities. The presence of the 1,300th MR D.I.Y. Indonesia store in Tideng Pale Timur reflects the company’s efforts to continue expanding modern retail reach to areas increasingly close to Indonesia’s borders.
“Every location we choose undergoes rigorous analysis, covering market potential, local economic growth, and real community needs. Tana Tidung meets all those indicators. For us, presence here is not an exception but a logical continuation of our consistent expansion strategy across Indonesia,” he said.
Disciplined Expansion, Supported by Solid Fundamentals
The speed of MR D.I.Y. Indonesia’s expansion is supported by solid business fundamentals. The company recorded a 35.5% profit growth in the first quarter of 2026, continuing the consistent profitability trend throughout 2025.
With presence in more than 430 cities and regencies and the creation of over 11,000 jobs, MR D.I.Y. Indonesia demonstrates that disciplined expansion can go hand in hand with healthy financial performance and real contributions to economic equity.
“With 1,300 stores now spread across the Archipelago, MR D.I.Y. Indonesia affirms that ‘Affordable, Complete, Nearby’ is not just a value proposition but a national service standard delivered consistently, from city centres to Indonesia’s remote areas,” Edwin concluded.
