WIKA Secures New Contracts Worth Rp 2.53 Trillion Throughout Q1 2026
JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, or WIKA, recorded new contracts worth Rp 2.53 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, driven by projects in the supporting construction industry, infrastructure, and the strengthening of road and river projects in Sumatra. This achievement is said to continue the momentum of support from bond and sukuk holders towards the sustainability of the business and the company’s transformation. The composition of WIKA’s new contracts during that period was dominated by the supporting construction industry sector, particularly the Precast Industry, worth Rp 909.26 billion. In addition, contracts also came from the infrastructure and building sector, manufacturing, property, and investment. The acquisition of these new contracts originated from government projects through the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) as well as the private sector. One of the projects undertaken by WIKA is the emergency handling of the National Road Sibolga–Padang Sidempuan worth Rp 205.69 billion, aimed at improving the quality of the national road network and facilitating the mobility of goods and people in the Sumatra region. The target completion date for the emergency handling is planned for December 2026, taking into account weather conditions and slope stability at the location. The main scope of work for that project includes the replacement of Garoga 2 Bridge, slope handling at the top of Goa Jepang, and handling of Box Garoga 3. Work that has been carried out includes the cleaning of landslide material, repair and reinforcement of slopes, strengthening of the road body, installation of emergency signs, and temporary drainage repairs. Meanwhile, ongoing work includes slope stabilisation using the soil nailing method, construction of a temporary route or detour, preparation for the installation of a bailey bridge, and drainage normalisation. In addition to the road project, in March 2026, WIKA also obtained the Tukka River Rehabilitation project worth Rp 109.46 billion with a contract period until 31 December 2026. That project covers the control of Tukka River infrastructure, the construction of sabodams, and sediment control for the child river of Tukka or Sigala-Gala River. The construction of sabodams functions as a retainer and controller of sediment and debris, equipped with retaining walls to protect riverbanks from water flow erosion. WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito stated that the acquisition of these new contracts demonstrates the ongoing trust in WIKA to execute strategic national projects.
