Wife of IPTN employee complains

Wife of IPTN employee complains

From Kompas

I am the wife of an IPTN (national aircraft company) employee in Bandung. Initially I was glad to hear that salaries at his company would be increased, effective last October.

But it was only for the divisions which had seen an exodus of employees, not my husband's. This disappointed us and probably other employees and their wives too. Does the company have to wait for departures before giving a raise?

The treatment of employees should not be discriminatory. The company's criteria are not clear and this could lead to social envy.

I am sure that the employees who didn't receive a raise are losing their enthusiasm, as their dedication has been ignored by their superiors. It is perhaps better to look for different work than to wait for the realization of promises. Dark days await IPTN's management and the image of the aircraft industry, a national pride, will fade.

This letter is as an expression of dissatisfaction with the policies of IPTN. Let us hope they will be wiser in complying with the complaints of their subordinates.
