Jakarta – The Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) participated in the “Dhawafest Pesona 2026: Beautiful Offerings of the Archipelago” festival, organised by Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of Finance from 4–6 March 2026 at Dhanapala Building, Jakarta.

During the event, which drew approximately 5,000 participants over three days, BPDP’s participation aimed to introduce its managed commodities and various programmes supporting the development of sustainable plantation industries in Indonesia.

Ida Purbaya, head of Dharma Wanita at the Finance Ministry and wife of Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, commended BPDP’s consistent efforts in promoting sustainable development of plantation commodities. She urged BPDP to continue developing innovation and creativity in advancing downstream processing programmes for the three commodities through BPDP-mentored partner SMEs, so that SME products become known and utilised by the broader public.

“Efforts to develop palm oil, coconut, and cocoa commodities sustainably are crucial for the national economy and public welfare,” Ida stated on Monday, 9 March 2026.

During her visit to the BPDP booth, Ida said that support for SMEs and development of value-added products represents an excellent step to make Indonesia’s commodities better known and provide broader benefits.

BPDP presented an educational booth providing visitors with information about its role in developing three strategic commodities: palm oil, coconut, and cocoa. The booth also showcased various derivative products from these three commodities widely used in daily life.

In its participation at Dhawafest Pesona 2026, BPDP also featured partner SMEs including Nora Indonesia and Cokelatin Signature. Nora Indonesia displayed natural-dyed batik textiles derived from BPDP commodities, particularly cocoa and coconut, producing environmentally friendly textile products with high cultural value.

Meanwhile, Cokelatin Signature presented premium chocolate products created through cocoa bean fermentation processes, resulting in distinctive chocolate flavours with high added value.

Through its participation in Dhawafest Pesona 2026, BPDP reaffirmed its commitment to continuing support for sustainable plantation commodity development and promoting SME advancement through product innovation, quality improvement, and market access expansion.
