Makkah (ANTARA) - Saudi Arabian Hajj Organising Officers (PPIH) continue to educate Indonesian prospective pilgrims to prioritise physical resilience for the smooth execution of the Hajj’s peak rituals, namely the wuquf at Arafah Plain, by not forcing themselves to visit Masjidil Haram during crowded times.

Head of the Worship Guidance Division at the Makkah Daker PPIH, Abdillah M Thohir, in Makkah on Sunday, stated that to prevent physical exhaustion amid the hot weather and the density of the holy city, prospective pilgrims are advised to utilise worship facilities located near their accommodations.

“There is no need to force oneself to go to Masjidil Haram during peak crowded periods. Use the mosque facilities around the hotel, including the prayer rooms we have prepared in the accommodations, to maintain the physical endurance of the prospective pilgrims,” said Abdillah.

Regarding the arrival of newly arrived prospective pilgrims from Jeddah heading directly to Makkah, Abdillah urged them to rest briefly before performing the obligatory umrah and to restrain themselves from excessive euphoria in optional worship in the following days.

“We urge prospective pilgrims not to overexert themselves. The main purpose of your presence here is to perform the wuquf at Arafah Plain. Please engage in optional worship, but do not become exhausted so that your physical condition remains well-maintained during the obligatory rituals,” said Abdillah.

Abdillah added that his team continues to conduct synergistic visitations and education to ensure the physical readiness and understanding of Hajj rituals among the prospective pilgrims.

“Today, we conducted visitations and education for prospective pilgrims from Embarkation Banjarmasin (BDJ 1 and BDJ 3) at Tower Al-Hidayah. Alhamdulillah, the prospective pilgrims appear very enthusiastic, healthy, and cheerful,” said Abdillah after the event at the Mushala Tower 4, Hotel Al Hidayah.

He explained that the education involved collaboration from various sectors, from health services, elderly and disability services, to worship guidance. The aim is to ensure all prospective pilgrims are fully prepared to welcome the wuquf on 9 Dzulhijjah ahead.
