What about it, PBSI?
What about it, PBSI?

Since the recent failure of the Indonesian singles and doubles
teams at the All England tournament, it appears that the year did
not get off to a bright start for badminton players.
Hopes for semi finalist, Haryanto Arbi, were dashed when he
failed to break his opponent's supremacy in the field and did not
make it into the final.
The same was to be said about the doubles team of Chandra
Wijaya and Sigit Budiarto. They too could not control their
opponents which killed all hopes for an All England winner.
Before this poor performance, badminton players, whether
singles or doubles, always came home winners from this
prestigious sport event. Rudi Hartono is one example. He won the
All England cup eight times in a row.
But this year it seems Lady Fortuna has stayed away for some
reason or another. Are our players not blessed with a competitive
spirit? Or were they still suffering from the "new year's after
effect" when players blamed the All Indonesian Badminton
Federation (PBSI) for unfairness? What about it, PBSI?
We hope our players will develop and that the association will
revive Indonesian victories as of old. Let's hope the
international banners, proof of Indonesian sport supremacy, wave
in the wind again.
