West Kalimantan’s subsidised housing quota under the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) programme for 2026 was set at 22,000 units. The increase is expected to broaden access for low-income households (MBR) to own decent, affordable housing. In addition, the allocation for the home renovation programme in West Kalimantan rose from 3,900 units last year to 13,000 this year. The event titled ‘Collaboration of the Housing Financing Programme and People’s Economic Empowerment’ brought together various stakeholders in the housing sector. Sid Herdi Kusuma, Deputy Commissioner for Utilisation of Tapera Funds, explained that the subsidised Mortgage Credit (KPR) under FLPP is one of the solutions for MBR to own a proper and affordable home. He noted that beneficiaries must meet several criteria, including not owning a home, never having received government housing subsidies, and having an income ceiling of Rp 9 million for single individuals and Rp 11 million for married individuals. Sid also urged the public to register via the Housing Subsidised Mortgage Information System (SIKASEP) and to seek information on subsidised homes via the Developers Information System (SIKUMBANG) to ensure the application process is transparent and accountable. Didyk Choiroel, Secretary General of the Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements (PKP), stated that the Housing Credit for People (KUR) is a national strategic programme promoted by President Prabowo Subianto. The programme aims to accelerate economic growth by empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the housing ecosystem, in both supply and demand aspects. ‘KUR Perumahan provides a 5 percent interest subsidy for the supply side and a fixed 6 percent for the demand side,’ Didyk said. In the same event, PKP Minister Maruarar Sirait outlined several policies to accelerate the national housing programme, described as a ‘red carpet for the people’. These policies include exemptions from the Land and Building Acquisition Duty (BPHTB) for MBR, exemptions from Building Permit (PBG), Government-Borne Value-Added Tax (PPNDTP), loosening of FLPP-related policies to increase the subsidised housing quota, and collaboration through the Bantuan Stimulan Perumahan Swadaya (BSPS) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) from the private sector.
