West Java Students Touched by Meeting the President at the Palace
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Hundreds of students who are members of the West Java OSIS Forum (FOJB) shared their experiences during the “Palace for School Children” programme at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday. One participant, Yadika Soreang High School student Zaki, admitted he did not expect to meet face-to-face with President Prabowo Subianto and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya during the visit. “Usually, I only see him on social media; now being able to meet him directly is certainly very pleasing and unexpected,” said Zaki, as quoted from a press release by the Presidential Secretariat’s BPMI. He mentioned shaking hands directly with the President and conveying his hope for prayers regarding the scholarship he is pursuing. “Thank you very much for organising the Palace for School Children programme, which is very useful for us,” said Oryza. FOJB General Chair Salsabila Nuria Muharam stated that the direct meeting with the President was a surprise for all participants. She also expressed her pride that FOJB became the first group of students to be directly received by the President in the programme. Meanwhile, a student from SMAN 5 Tambun Selatan, Princesta, admitted that the visit motivated her to pursue a career in the government environment. “This visit makes me even more motivated to work in the government environment in the future,” she said. The “Palace for School Children” programme includes visits to several buildings in the Presidential Palace Complex, such as Merdeka Palace, the President’s Office, and the State Palace. The programme aims to introduce the presidential work environment to the younger generation from various regions.
