Jakarta — The West Jakarta Sub-office of the Department of Transportation has deployed 80 personnel to manage traffic during the 2026 Cap Go Meh celebrations at Pancoran China Town Point on Jalan Pancoran, Pinangsia, Tamansari, on Tuesday.
Agus Prasetiyo, Head of Operations for the West Jakarta Transport Sub-office, stated that the 80 personnel have been divided into two shifts: 08.00–14.00 WIB and 13.30–19.00 WIB, with each shift comprising 40 personnel. Personnel placement has focused on entry and exit access points along Jalan Pancoran, with additional officers stationed at various locations throughout the street.
In addition to deploying personnel, the sub-office has mobilised four tow truck units.
Zulkifli, Chief of Traffic Management for the Tamansari District Transport Sub-office, explained that both four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles are prohibited from parking along the southern side of Jalan Pancoran. Designated parking areas have been prepared for visitors to Pasar Glodok, Petak Enam, and the Asemka shopping complex.
If traffic congestion on Jalan Pancoran becomes excessive, traffic diversions will be implemented. Vehicles heading towards the Asemka or Tambora areas will be redirected via Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan. Zulkifli noted that under normal circumstances this road is reserved for Transjakarta only, but traffic management will be conducted on a situational basis depending on field conditions.
