The Transportation Agency (Dishub) of West Bandung Regency (KBB) is preparing to manage the homebound exodus for Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH. Personnel and infrastructure are being mobilised to ensure smooth traffic flow during this peak travel period.

West Bandung Regency serves as a critical transit corridor for homebound travellers using both arterial roads and toll routes. For toll roads, travellers typically travel via the Jakarta-Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang (KBB)-Cileunyi corridor.

For non-toll access, West Bandung is traversed by travellers from various routes: Jakarta-Bogor-Sukabumi-Cianjur-Cipatat-Padalarang via the Cipatat-Padalarang main road; Karawang-Purwakarta-Cikalongwetan-Padalarang via the Purwakarta main road; and from Subang via Lembang towards Bandung and the Priangan region including areas such as Garut and Tasikmalaya.

“We are thoroughly preparing for the homebound exodus in terms of personnel and supporting infrastructure and equipment,” said West Bandung Transportation Agency Head Mochammad Ridwan Evi when contacted on Monday, 9 March 2026.

He predicted that the first wave of homebound travellers would occur on 14-15 March 2026, coinciding with the implementation of work-from-anywhere (WFA) policies, whilst the second wave would occur on 18-19 March 2026, coinciding with the Nyepi holiday. “We predict there will be two waves of traveller surges. The first occurs on 14-15 March coinciding with WFA implementation, with the second wave on 18-19 March connecting into the weekend,” Ridwan Evi stated.
