Water supply deal signed

BEKASI (JP): The Bekasi branch of the PDAM water company and
PT Putra Alvita Pratama, the developer of the Bekasi Kota Legenda
housing complex, signed an agreement on tap water supply
yesterday.

The Bekasi PDAM was represented by Dudung T. Ruskandi, while
Laurent Aliandoe represented the private developer, a press
release sent to The Jakarta Post yesterday said.

Under the deal, the water company is to install a 1.6-
kilometer piping from the water treatment plant in Tambun, a
village some 25 kms east of Bekasi, to the housing complex.

The network for the water supply system is scheduled to be
finished by the end of this month, Ruskandi said.

Aliandoe said that 2,300 houses in the complex have been sold,
but he did not say how many houses the developer is building in
the Kota Legenda complex.

The developer has invested a total of Rp 1 billion
(US$434,700) in the housing complex. (sur)
