Water supply cut in N. Jakarta

JAKARTA (JP): Water supplies in the areas of Podomoro, Pademangan and Ancol in North Jakarta will be stopped for two days starting today, an official said yesterday.

Agus Tabrani, marketing director of the city-owned tap water company, PDAM, said that a pipe 600 millimeters in diameter will be operated on over the next two days in Sunter.

"The cutting of the distribution pipe will be completed tomorrow," he said. "We apologize for any effect our work is having on the supply of tap water." (sur)
