Wartsila builds genset plant

JAKARTA (JP): PT Wartsila Diesel Indonesia has begun building its genset manufacturing plant in the Jababeka Industrial Estate in Bekasi, West Java.

The company said yesterday the plant would cost about US$10 million and would produce 500 KW to 6,000 KW gensets.

The plant is scheduled to start production late this year and will carry out genset packaging and the assembly of Watsila's engines.

Wartsila will also build a three-story office building, part storage, service workshop, assembly and testing facilities, training center and workshop office on the plant site.
