Warm Moment of President Prabowo's Chat with West Java Students at the Palace
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto greeted 300 students from the West Java OSIS Forum in the “Palace for School Children” programme at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday, creating a warm moment as the President chatted directly with the students. An upload on the official Instagram account of Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, quoted in Jakarta on Tuesday, featured a video clip of a phone conversation between the President and the students. “Where is this? Where are you now?” President Prabowo asked the students in the conversation that took place via Cabinet Secretary Teddy’s phone line. The caption on the Instagram upload from the cabinet secretariat indicated that Salsabilla Nuria, Chair of the West Java OSIS Forum from SMAN 4 Bandung, answered the phone call. “Yes, Sir, at the Cabinet Secretariat. We want to tour the Palace, Sir,” said Salsabilla, which was then met with the President’s approval. President Prabowo granted permission for the students to tour the Palace, while still adjusting to the scheduled state agenda. “Okay, go ahead. Go ahead, but before 12.30, alright. After that, I start the session. Meetings start at 12.30,” said the President. The Head of State even invited the students to watch him enter the Palace directly. “It’s fine if you want to see me enter, it’s okay. Ted, just let them see me enter, honour guard,” said the President, giving instructions to Cabinet Secretary Teddy. The Palace for School Children programme serves as a learning space for the younger generation to understand the government system while nurturing a sense of nationalism through direct experiences at the centre of government. The activities include tours of several historic buildings, including Merdeka Palace, the President’s Office, and the State Palace. This programme is designed to introduce the presidential work environment to the younger generation from various regions.
