Accompanied by East Nusa Tenggara Governor Melki Laka Lena, Deputy Governor Johni Asadoma, and Industry and Trade Office Head Zet Sony Libing, Gibran reviewed a wide range of locally produced goods showcased at the NTT Mart.

NTT Mart serves as a marketing hub connecting producers, farmers, fishers, artisans, and businesses with consumers at regional, national, and international levels.

Products on display included coffee, woven textiles, honey, fisheries products, and processed foods such as moringa- and sorghum-based items, alongside traditional snacks reflecting the province’s diverse local industries.

NTT Mart also features handicrafts and fashion products sourced from all 22 districts and cities across the province, highlighting cultural richness and the growing potential of the local creative economy.

The products are developed by small and medium industries (IKM) and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), forming a key part of efforts to strengthen grassroots economic activity.

The platform has expanded to all 22 districts and cities, involving hundreds of businesses and tens of thousands of local products, while supporting downstreaming to boost added value and competitiveness.

Gibran said strengthening sustainable marketing ecosystems for local products is crucial, including through collaboration among regional governments, businesses, and other stakeholders.

The initiative aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to accelerate downstreaming and expand market access for Indonesia’s leading local commodities.

Governor Melki Laka Lena called for stronger consolidation among MSME players to ensure all local products are accommodated and marketed effectively through NTT Mart.

He said the program aims to empower local communities economically and demonstrate that East Nusa Tenggara can contribute to national growth through stronger local product consumption.

Melki also expressed hope that NTT Mart will evolve into a primary hub for promotion, distribution, and showcasing of local products capable of entering national and global markets.

The visit forms part of broader government efforts to accelerate regional development and strengthen economic resilience and public welfare through local industry growth.
