Voxpol Center Survey: 75.4% of the Public Believe the NTT Provincial Government Can Address Citizens' Problems
Public trust in the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Provincial Government remains high based on survey results from Voxpol Center, despite a number of issues currently under the spotlight.
Voxpol Center Executive Director Pangi Syarwi Chaniago explained that 72.5% of respondents considered the NTT Provincial Government to understand the community’s problems. Meanwhile, 75.4% of respondents believed the provincial government has the solutions and capability to address the various problems faced by citizens in their daily lives.
Additionally, public satisfaction with the one-year performance of the NTT Governor and Deputy Governor was recorded at a high 80.5%.
“This achievement is considered important capital for the regional government to accelerate improvements, particularly in the infrastructure and basic services sectors,” said Pangi on Saturday, 14 February 2026.
According to him, this public satisfaction survey shows that infrastructure and basic services remain the most urgent issues for the NTT Provincial Government to address.
“Especially in the first year of the governor and deputy governor’s leadership,” he said.
He stated that the survey aims to promote good governance and result-oriented government, so that policies adopted are more objective and evidence-based. It is hoped, Pangi continued, that the survey results will serve as baseline data for the NTT Provincial Government in evaluating and refining future development policies.
“So that development programs are not only well-planned but their impact and benefits are also tangibly felt by the community,” he explained.
The survey was conducted quantitatively through face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire from 5–14 January 2026. A total of 800 respondents participated, proportionally distributed across 22 regencies/cities in NTT Province. Sampling used a multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of ±3.47 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
