Viral Video of Intoxicated DKI Civil Servant in North Jakarta Home Debunked as Hoax
A video of a civil servant (ASN) from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government allegedly intoxicated and entering a resident’s home went viral on social media. The incident reportedly occurred in the Pademangan area of North Jakarta.
The video, viewed on 13 March 2026, showed a man still wearing a white service uniform being questioned by residents. In the footage, residents suspected the civil servant was under the influence of hard drugs, given his unclear speech and apparent drowsiness in the resident’s home.
In response, Mis’ari, Head of the Management Unit at Jakarta Maritime Museum, clarified that the narrative accompanying the video was false and constituted misinformation. The man, identified as NS, is a general staff member assigned to Jakarta Maritime Museum.
The Jakarta Maritime Museum Management Unit traced the video and coordinated directly with the employee’s family to ascertain NS’s actual condition.
“I visited my staff member’s house last night in the Rawa Badak Selatan area, Koja District. Based on information from his family, over the past month NS has been undergoing outpatient treatment at a private hospital in North Jakarta,” Mis’ari stated on 13 March 2026.
Mis’ari explained that according to NS’s wife, he had been experiencing intense anxiety in recent days. However, he clarified that NS had not consumed hard drugs or alcoholic beverages.
“Information claiming he consumed alcoholic drinks or prohibited substances is incorrect,” he said.
Mis’ari expressed regret over posts from unverified social media accounts falsely claiming NS was intoxicated from illegal drugs.
“I urge the public to be more prudent in disseminating information and to verify the truth of events before publishing them,” he appealed.
Mis’ari hopes the public will refrain from hasty conclusions or narratives about incidents without clear confirmation.
“At present, the employee is experiencing poor health. We ask for prayers and support so he can recover soon,” he stated.
Mis’ari added that during his tenure at the museum, NS was known as an employee who worked well and interacted appropriately with colleagues. He is currently involved in a fish aquaculture development programme at the museum.
“There has been nothing suspicious during his time at the office. He continues to work and interact normally. NS joined Jakarta Maritime Museum in November 2025,” he concluded.
