The name Hendrik Irawan, a partner in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme from West Bandung Regency (KBB), has become a topic of discussion on social media due to his dancing antics in front of the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) kitchen, where he claimed to earn Rp6 million per day. The action drew public condemnation. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has intervened by suspending the operations of the SPPG kitchen in Pangauban, Batujajar, KBB, managed by Hendrik Irawan. BGN deemed the dancing and flaunting of Rp6 million daily income as violating principles of propriety amid the public’s economic conditions. “Regarding the individual’s actions, this is actually more of a personal issue concerning the person’s morals,” said Ramzi, Head of the Regional Nutrition Fulfilment Service Office (KPPG) Bandung, when contacted on Thursday (26/3/2026). Ramzi stated that KPPG had previously reminded MBG partners to maintain social ethics and be sensitive to public conditions. “We had previously reminded the individual because there were already many such posts (dancing videos),” Ramzi said. BGN, he continued, conducted a surprise inspection at the SPPG Pangauban location in Kampung Cibodas, RT 02/08, Pangauban Village, Batujajar Subdistrict. The inspection revealed environmental violations by the partner for failing to adhere to SPPG kitchen waste management regulations. Based on these findings, BGN imposed sanctions for the environmental violations by suspending the SPPG kitchen operations. “Regarding the suspension, from the inspection results conducted by the director of supervision, it was found that the IPAL was not adequate. Therefore, the decision was made to suspend,” Ramzi explained. The closure of SPPG kitchen operations will continue until the MBG partner addresses the environmental violation findings, specifically by resolving the IPAL in the SPPG kitchen. “Regarding the IPAL, usually as long as it is not resolved, the suspension is not lifted. To revoke the suspension, there is typically a request from the partner with evidence that the findings have been addressed,” Ramzi said.
