Two residents of Ketara Village, Pujut Subdistrict, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), have been reported to the police after posting content about the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) menu suspected of containing maggots. The two individuals are Nana alias Baiq Restu Tunggal Kencana and Jamiatul Munawarah.

Based on summons letter number B/677/III/RES.2.5/2026/RESKRIM, they were called by investigators from the Central Lombok Police Resort regarding alleged defamation against Alman Putra, a Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia (SPPI) who filed the report.

“Today I came to the Central Lombok Police Resort for clarification on the MBG bread with maggots issue. It was reported as defamation,” said Jamiatul to journalists after being questioned by investigators from the Specific Criminal Acts Unit (Tipidter) of the Central Lombok Police Resort Criminal Investigation Unit, on Tuesday (31/3/2026).

Jamiatul emphasised that in her social media post, she did not mention any specific party, including the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) or the food provider.

“But in that post, I didn’t mention any name or SPPG,” she said.

Jamiatul explained that the incident began on 10 March 2026 around 10:30 WITA when her family received the MBG menu at school. The bread distributed by SPPG in Ketara Village was said to contain worms or maggots.

“Coincidentally, the MBG recipient is my toddler child and my sister (Baiq Restu) who is still breastfeeding. And she found the bread menu containing worms or maggots. I asked my sister, this is from school, please check the MBG menu received, because what I received has maggots,” she stated.

After that, Jamiatul uploaded photos and videos of the bread on her Facebook account with a caption questioning the responsibility of the relevant parties, “Where is your responsibility,” along with a song by Opick titled Astagfirullah. She also claimed not to have included the name of the kitchen or food provider in the post.

“There, I didn’t mention SPPG, the kitchen, or the kitchen’s address. But strangely, in the summons letter I received, it was because of defamation,” she explained.

What surprised her even more, Jamiatul never mentioned any name or institution in the post at all. She questioned the basis for SPPI reporting her.

“Even though in that post, no institution or person’s name came to mind,” she asserted.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of SPPI Pujut Subdistrict, Lalu Noval Urbaya, confirmed that Alman Putra is part of SPPI in the area. However, he declined to provide further explanation as he would also be examined as a witness.

“It’s true (he is SPPI). I was also questioned. Waiting for those two (Jamiatul and Baiq Restu) first,” he told detikBali at the Central Lombok Police Resort.

Separately, the Head of Criminal Investigation at Central Lombok Police Resort, AKP Punguan Hutahaean, confirmed the examination. He explained that the report was directed at two social media accounts.

“The reporter (Alman) reported two Facebook accounts that posted photos and videos of food that appeared to have worms inside,” he said.

He explained that the case is currently under investigation by the Tipidter Unit of the Central Lombok Police Resort Criminal Investigation Unit. Punguan stated that today three witnesses were called for clarification.

“Currently, the status is under investigation and they are being asked for clarification regarding the matter,” he said.

Punguan was reluctant to say much about the case. He explained that the police would for the time being focus on conducting the investigation and summoning relevant parties to take their statements.

“The next steps, after all investigations are completed, will be carried out to determine whether there is or is not a criminal act related to the post,” he concluded.
